On November 14th Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur celebrated it's 9th anniversary with a charity dinner cum karaoke competition at the Chin Woo Auditorium, Jalan Davidson, Kuala Lumpur, attended by about 600 guests.

This fund raising function, organized by Lion Waimond Pang Way Hoon and his hard-working committee was a memorable success. Everyone had a great time, enjoying good food, marvelous showmanship, singing and fellowship, which started at 6 pm and ended at around 11,30 pm. We were blessed that the whole occasion was supported by all…from two very young nine year old girls to a team of senior ladies who did the line dances on stage.

We had the honour of having. three very busy important guests, none other than our District Governor 308B1, Lion Dato' Yeow Wah Chin. Cheras Member of Parliament YB Tan Kok Wai and Pop Singing sensation...Miss Winnie K, to rejoice with us on this joyous occasion.

The guests were treated to a wonderful performance by beautiful Ms. Winnie K. Besides the fantastic showmanship, Ms.Winnie also proved her caring for the less fortunate by starting the ball rolling with her generous donation of RM 1000.00, which the audience soon topped it up with another RM 2,200.00.

The finale was a duet by District Governor Dato' Yeow and Datin Gernervie, which helped to raise another RM 2020.00.

We were delighted that our Club was able to donate to three beneficiaries that night, namely , RM 5000.00 to the Kuala Lumpur Lions Renal Centre, RM 5000.00 to National Kidney Foundation and RM 10,000.00 to the Lions Education LEArN Fund.

With combined effort, we managed to do our little part for the less fortunate who deserved the donation. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all donors and supporters.
